Steady As We Go

We all have our own strengths and insecurities. And I have my own fair share as well.

A work colleague once gave a passing compliment that my desk is tidy and neat. To me, I just felt that all things should return to where they belong. It’s only natural, but then she looked at me in utter surprise like how someone lost their coffee sachets at the pantry.

I have also been judged as overly analytical. Some other mean ones are those that think I am stingy or simply being too shabby.

I have been labeled on one too many; Dr no expression, The Shaker (I have hand tremor), Rusty (I cannot pronounce the alphabet R properly); these are the plethora of labels that people foist onto me.

And sometimes I stare at the ceilings at night thinking about it, on those sleepless nights and lousy feelings.
