Lessons From A Teenage Con Artist
A true story about an adolescent and his notorious life of impersonation and forgery.
I just revisited Frank Abagnale’s talk to Google on YouTube.
For those who do not know, Frank is considered one of the youngest con artist of all time. Upon his capture, he was charged with multiple impersonations; One of it as an airline pilot which lead him to discover the loopholes in the aviation industry that allowed him to travel for free, frauds and forgery.
He served time and was granted parole after serving the FBI and assist the federal government, preaching the message that the law will eventually catch up with the wrongdoers.
Just by his talk alone, I can sense that he is a very charming gentleman when he was delivering his life monologue as the audience — google employers — tuned attentively, like devoted worshippers in a grand sermon.
I can’t help but feel envy, at the same time sparked a lot of questions on how his life has come through this far. He is someone persuasive and strikes me as a person who has an unlimited flair on confidence.
