I flipped through the pages of my past year’s black notebook to see if there’s anything else worth documenting before I tuck it away. Sure enough, there are little scribblings in the journal which I jotted down from time to time which I have encountered along the year.

I have typed, categorized and curated the pieces of advice that are worth sharing and I hope that the following can inspire you to lead a better life, God willing.

Tips on forming habits and setting Goals

  • Adopt the “add-in” principle. Instead of thinking about what you have to sacrifice/deprive, think about what you can benefit from it. e.g. On a diet; I can sacrifice on ice cream, but I can enjoy yogurt with nuts and berries.
  • In physics, objects at rest tend to stay stationary. Objects in motion sets in motion. The same applies to our daily actions. Getting started is always hard as it always requires a lot of energy. Think about the rocket, escaping…
